Bayonne Superior Roofing is a roofing contractor based in Bayonne, NJ, with more than 20 years of experience repairing and replacing roofs on the houses and buildings that make up this city. Much of that work has been on two-family houses, older one-family homes with brick chimneys and board decking, and the flat and low-slope roofs that sit behind so many pitched fronts or cover mixed-use buildings.

We started from a simple idea that still shapes every job: find out what is actually wrong with the roof before deciding what it needs, and explain it in a way the owner can check for themselves.

Our Approach

Every leak call includes a look in the attic or the top-floor ceiling as well as on the roof, so the water is traced to where it really gets in before anything is priced. We give a straight answer on whether a roof can be repaired before replacement is ever mentioned. On flat roofs we check the seams, the parapet coping and the drain or scupper rather than only the visible patch, and we clear and water-test the box gutters, scuppers and leaders before calling the repair finished. When a leak runs along a party wall, we trace both sides of the line before anyone’s roof is blamed.

When a roof does need replacing, our written scope lists tear-off, decking, underlayment, flashing and drainage as separate lines, so you can compare our estimate with anyone else’s. Damaged decking is photographed and shown to you before it is replaced, at a per-sheet price set in the contract. Step, counter and chimney flashing is replaced with the roof, never reused, and roofs under solar panels have the panel removal and reinstall built into the schedule from the start. Our contracts follow New Jersey’s home improvement rules, including the three-day cancellation notice.

We also try to be good guests. Two-family houses are scheduled with both units in mind, so the tenant upstairs knows when we are coming and where we need access. The sidewalk, yard and gutters are cleaned at the end of every work day, with a magnet sweep for roofing nails. After a storm, we photograph and write up the damage for your own claim and will meet your insurance adjuster on site when you ask.
